After a week in Bangkok we headed down south to Phuket* an island off the west coast of Thailand. The first five days we spent in the mayhem that is Patong- it was as if Colin and I had traveled back in time to Panama City Beach for Spring Break ‘08... We quickly decided the beach is where we belonged- just not this one. Luckily, we found a place in Rawai, about 30 minutes south of Patong, and that’s where we stayed for the next two weeks. We spent that time getting settled, scuba diving, and exploring nearby beaches via our newly acquired motorbike. Life was good. *Much to the disappointment of my cousin Lenny, it’s pronounced poo-ket.
